PROJECTS

  • External Evaluator for the Lower Shore Community Folklife Traditions Project, The Ward Foundation, Salisbury, MD (2022)
  • External Evaluator in partnership with the B.E.A.C.O.N. (Business, Economic , and Community Outreach Network) at Salisbury University for implementing and analyzing the 80th and 81st National Folk Festival Visitor Experience Survey data, National Council for the Traditional Arts, Silver Spring, MD (2021 – 2022).
  • Data Analytics Contractor for the RARRA (Resource Alerts: Resilience, Reframing, Actions) Project, National Council for the Traditional Arts, Silver Spring, MD (2021 – Present).
  • External Evaluator for the National Folk Festival 2020 Virtual Celebration, National
    Council for the Traditional Arts, Silver Spring, MD (2020).

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • RARRA Project tasks facilitated by Micah Colston and S-V Contractual staff, National Council for the Traditional Arts, Silver Spring, MD
  • Dr. Ladd Colston appointed as Host for the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce – Education Committee PAC (Public Access Channel) – 14 TV Show entitled “Education is Everybody’s Business”. This bimonthly show features topics that impact education and workforce development in Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore Communities. It can be found online on YouTube (2022 – 2023)
  • Sustainable-Visions collaborated with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce to moderate, videotape and survey attendees at the 2022 Community Forum on Education at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center (March 31, 2022)
  • County Community Presentation – “Remember to Dream” Dr. Ladd Colston Invited Keynote Speaker for Project READ 2021 Recognition Ceremony (Wicomico County Public Library) Salisbury, Maryland).
  • National Conference Presentation – “Fussin’ about RARRA: BETA Testing NCTA’s Resource Sharing Initiative” Micah Colston presented at the 2021 American Folklore Society Annual Meeting (Hilton Hotel, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania)
  • Chamber Award – “2020 Chamber Member Volunteer of the Year Award”. Presented to Dr. Ladd Colston at the 2020 Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Luncheon (Wicomico Youth & Civic Center) Salisbury, Maryland.
